you don't own a Ford RS do you ? , from what i read at ffoc forums they believe the ST will be at 8K after 2 Years. :(

I doubt it VERY much - you can only just buy an ST170 for this sort of money now and they are much older than 2 years and nowhere near as good as the ST.

Look at Mondeo ST200 prices - £6k for a good one and these are 6-7 year old cars now.

its silly to project prices like that when the car has only just been released.
the history of decent fords depreciation stands for itself.
look at the escort cossie / focus rs / focus st (inc as fox mentioned it). all have kept price very very well.

Hi,

I am considering part exchanging my 53 plate yaris t-sport for either the lexus is200 or a new shape golf GTI.

Question is Which car will hold its residual value longer over 2-3 years ? and how much should i get for my car which has only 12K miles and was registered in 2004 ?

..Nam,

Pop over to the owners club, lexus owners club there should be all the info you could ever wish for over there, even Mat's monster tt IS200 :)

I picked up my IS300 (04 plate, 16K) for about £18K last year, IS200 of the same age and milage were goung for £15K. There are quite a few deals to be had out there now with the new IS250 on the forecourts.

...there are also plenty of cars for sale on the owners club also... take a look, you might net a bargin :)

HTH :)
