Only Device with download speed only 10% of quoted speed from broadband provider

Having issues with my download speed at the moment. Recently upgraded our broadband to BT infinity with the Smart Hub, with quoted download speeds of 60-80Mbps, upload of 18-22Mbps. My brother's PC connects to it through ethernet cable via a TP-Link wifi extender and gets the quoted speeds, however, my PC, through both Ethernet via wifi extender and wireless, will not get download speeds of any higher than 5Mbps.

OS = Windows 10 (64 bit)
Graphics Card = Nvidia GForce 1080
Processor = Intel i7
PCI-E adapter = Asus PCE-N15 Wireless-N (Also just downloaded the latest driver for this)

Tried everything I can think of to no avail. Any help will be greatly appreciated

So it’s slow when directly connected to the router with an Ethernet cable?

Have you tried safe mode or booting into a Linux live environment?

No its not that, because my pc is in another room, i cant connect to the router directly with an ethernet cable, so ive got a wifi extender that has 2 ethernet ports to allow an indirect connection via ethernet to the router. My brother has done this and is getting 50+Mbps download speed.

No not tried that, how do i do it?

Test with an ethernet cable to rule out a PC issue.

WIFI extenders are flakey at best.

Yeah I'd blame the TP link extender. TP link are 99% cheapest for a reason.
