Any idea what is the fastest Northwood processor my P4P 800 Deluxe mobo will suppport?

I've seen 3.2's for sale but I thought you could get a 3.6???

I'm talking standard speeds here not overclocked!

I think 3.4 is the fastest northwood cpu. There are also 'extreme' editions which are a lot faster than the northwoods clock for clock, because they have an extra 2MB of 'L3' cache, running at the same speed as the processor.

Fastest was the 3.4 EE with was a xeon rebadged galitine core

The fastest northy was a 3.4 but they are very rare as they were very expencive and had a short sale life few months before world went prescott 775 ect

best bang for buck is northy 2.4 c as they go to 3 ghz with little problems and have Ht which feels faster than most single core chips, my dothan at 2.7 included.

using a 2.4c overclocked now in my shuttle at 3.4 to write this message :p
