I personally have no experience with PhysX, I've had the NV drivers install that rubbish onto the machine with cards that don't support it though... Do I need this ridiculous proprietry format in my life? Certainly not.
My problem is that they block PhysX support if an ATI card is detected? How can this be allowed? I didn't know that they did this until reading through this thread.
Surely if people are running an ATI card with an Nvidia one alongside for PhysX or even an old PhysX card, then that's their choice? Nvidia still has their cash... How can it be allowed?
But the PPUs are also being disabled now if an ATI card is detected? (I may have got the wrong end of the stick here, apologies if so)
Edit: Looks like it's the case though? the only purpose of the PPU is PhysX... How can they be allowed to get away with it? That is disgraceful...

They've never actually stated that they work with other graphics cards or support them. They have stated that PPUs should work..
