Actually I thought the Mars idea looked tacky and that website certainly looks tacky. So as far as I am concerned am glad its got england plastered all over it

I don't see why we keep dredging up history in a negative light. When we put our heads together we ended up conquering 1/4 of the globe. Not too shabby for a bunch of islanders who don't get on.

I support all the home nations, if I was to rank them then it'd be the Scottish, the Welsh then the Irish but I like to see them all do well unless they're in direct competition with us.

As a Cornishman who's spent the last 4 years in Scotland all I can say to that is that if you go in almost any pub in Edinburgh showing an England game, and compare it to almost any pub in England showing a Scotland game, you'll see that the ridiculous Scottish racial bigotry is alive and well.

Taffy was a reference and also used in a poem about thieves or something, it originally came about due to Welsh Pirates/Smugglers who became known as Taffs, attacking along the river Taff. It is written somewhere just not on Wiki.

Also for those who have been to Cardiff, the River Taff was diverted from Mary street to Bute Park iirc. As the City Centre was home to some of the major canal routes. Mill road area still has the canals underground and is notorious for Rats around there due to the existance of the waterway systems built over. Golate House on Marystreet is named after the lane that was where late arrivers would run for the boats. Also some very old and original cottages exist off a side street down Womanby street.

So there is your local history lesson for today

That's because you're from Cornwall, you're the type of Englishman we hate. If you were from the North you'd be fine. Try adjusting your attitude a little.

I've no idea but Southerners appear to make up the majority of the 350,000+ Englanders who have chosen to settle in Scotland, so make of that what you will.
