We're currently running a NetGear 834G wireless router, but my PC is still connected via a network cable (*gasp*).

I'll be moving my PC into another room soon so i'll need a wireless adaptor.

Are the PCI ones ok? Thinking of a Netgear WG311 54Mbps to match the router. Are the USB ones any better?

I use a mix of USB and PCI on my home network. Both work as well as each other. Although that PCI card you mentioned has erratic signal strength. I'm using one now and i'm 2 feet from the router with a clear line of sight and it sometimes drops to Low Signal. Whereas my laptop has Excellent signal strength all the time, even from 2 storeys up.
