Not being harsh against people with downs or anything but why does the syndrome make people all look the same. Ive seen a few girls with downs over the past couple of days who all look very similar-

They have long dark hair, glasses and small eyes and other similar facial features such as hair.

What is downs and does it make people with it look the same?

I was just going to fire up wiki to find out myself, then thought - wouldn't it be funny if i refreshed and someone had provided me a handy link.

Down's is a genetic condition characterised by trisomy 21 (meaning that instead of 2 number 21 chromosomes, there are 3).

This is what leads to the characteristic facial features and appearances as the extra gene influences genetic development (and other development).
