I Finally got it to work, the USB Adapter, disconnected the on board speaker attached to the Phat Beat.
Though however the lights won't work when playing music via the USB Adapter though it does respond when turning the device on and just a flash or so when pressing the play / pause button.
I did see a way of doing it via https://github.com/pimoroni/pivumeter
Though however I have none of those, as the only thing I have is the pirate radio kit and the USB Audio Adapter.
Is there another way I can do it as I need to change this I think in the etc/asound.conf file: (see photo)
