you kissed the same sex? my sister who was 7 at the time was going around shouting she was lesbian because other girls were saying it in their class.... non of them knew what it was but they thought it was cool to announce it. they gave the "bad attitude stance" while saying itl.... you know... the arms-folded-angry look. quite funny.

Trades happened fairly often.

If your parents were feeling kind that week you'd have something like a pack of monster munch instead of salt n shake or hula hoops. Or maybe a Tunnock bar or Twix instead of a Penguin or equivalent!

These items had high value, and were to be used as bargaining chips if you were feeling particularly hungry. Could probably get someones sandwiches with a Twix, or all of their fruit with a packet of crisps.
