So I bought a motherboard, that wants an 8-pin cable to power the cpu. Unfortunately my power supply doesn't provide any, so I am looking for a 4 to 8 pin convertor. That one (deleted url) should do the job. But I can't find it in any store in the UK. Please help me. Where can I find one of these? It's breaking my nerves :(

On reading some reviews of this board, I read that it doesn't NEED to have that lead. It's compatible with the standard 12v 4 pin - the 8 pin is there for futureproofing!

I'm looking at one of these boards. They any good? I'm looking to get one with a D 805 - seeing that they're not too expensive at the moment.

    Cheers

Usually you can just connect 4 pins and leave the other 4 empty.

If I look at that pic I can clearly see that the 8-pin connector is just a double 4-pin connector with the cables split
