Hey,

Just seen this card: Point of View GeForce GTX 275

I've never heard of "Point of View" before - anyone know if they're any good? Or, if they are quiet?

I'm after an nVidia card for around £150 that is reasonably quiet... unfortunately, a lot of the recommended cards are out of stock at the moment and I'm impatient :(

I had a point of view X1650 Pro, it was OK but I recall having a problem with it of some kind, with it not doing DirectX acceleration, and having a nightmare contacting their support peeps.

In the end I just left it alone and started using a laptop instead.

I'm a bit wary of them, but things might have changed in the intervening couple of years.

Counting both ATI and nVidia, only Sapphire and Gainward (possibly one more now, as this was a while ago) make their own cards. The others just buy off ATi/nVidia and add a cooler, change the clocks, put stickers on etc.

They're all the same and it's luck of the draw in most cases how good the card is.
