I prefer the fine refills, so maybe get one of them, then she has a spare (albeit medium). You can buy cheaper alternatives in WHSmiths etc so you've not limited her to a life of expensive refilling...

Just to let you know, I have ordered one of these gift wrapped for her. I know in the scheme of things it's only a small gift, but she's been so helpful to me I had to get her something, and I hope this will at least be useful to her.

Thanks all :)

Would someone who does voluntary work (Probably a hippy-type who doesn't like consumerism, greed, excess.. etc.), really want a ball-point pen that costs £50? I doubt it.

I've done voluntary work and I'm certainly not a hippy. I love greed and excess, it's what keeps me going for more and more.

I vote for the Cross pen.

Don't penis land have anything good?

Personally I can't see the point of spending £50 on a pen. I would buy her something that she can use regularly. If you want to buy something pretty, perhaps buy her a watch?
