Hi everyone, first post here and its a doozy. Both me and my brother are looking to upgrade our current 3+ yr old PC's to something with a bit more umpf as this will be the first time I have actually built one from scratch I feel its a good idea to get some advice on what we have decided on after talking with friends we play games with.

As you can see we are very much going on the need to not upgrade for a while after we build this and want opinions on things like cases mostly to ensure we have sufficient cooling.

This will be my brother's PC I am still undecided on a few things and will look to build it later. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I want one :(

Welcome to the forums :)

Nice system looks as good as you'll get. I would suggest maybe faster RAM but as the CPU is an FX you can just change the multi as you shouldn't have to worry about overclocking your RAM.

Welcome to the forums, the PC unsurprisingly looks pretty good although I'd change the DVDRW to the 4551 because it is slightly newer. The case looks to be very closely modelled on the Coolermaster Wavemaster so it may not have great airflow in operation but hopefully someone with the case can advise more fully.

Thanks for the replies so far, I think the main problem is getting a case that offers the best cooling solution and also looks ok as its pointless to put all this expensive gear in something that won't do it justice.

hi,

if u're happy to spend that then good on you.

maybe look at the x2 4400 or 4800 as their cheaper, but options just as good imho.

maybe look at the Zalman CNPS9500-LED Aero Flower as another option for cpu cooling.

From reading the forum some people would change the Hiper PSU to something like the Seasonic, or if you want modular the tagan.
Also, people seem to favour the Saphire Pure Innovation Motherboard in favour of the DFI Crossfire boards.
But looks like its gonna be a nice system.

yeah some people on the forums have reported high noise on high spec machines with the type r. Perhaps the enermax liberty or seasonic.
