Hi,

I am just finishing off a new build. Could someone please clarify exactly what power connections I need to make between the following components:

Asus P6X58D-E Intel X58 (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard
OCZ ModXStream Pro 600w Silent SLI Certified Modular Power Supply

The motherboard has a 24 pin EATXPWR that I have already connected up, and also a 8 pin EATX12V, which currently has a plastic cap over 4 of the pins. Do I remove this cap and connect the 8 pin connector that comes out of the power supply, or do I leave the cap on and connect the 4 pin connector that comes out of the power supply? The motherboard instructions suggest that I can do either. . .

remove both caps of the psu and mobo and connect it so it is a 8 pin connections, which is normally located at the top of the motherboard, and the 24 pin should be connected to the 24 pin connection which is normally located near the ram slots...

Thanks. So the 4-pin connector from the power supply is just left not connected to anything, right?
