If my budget was around 1500ish for a prebuilt how much cheaper usually would it be to build myself? I understand GPUs are hard to get hold of too so I'll have to shop around and check availability. I don't have anything specific in mind at the moment. No monitor or anything atm. Want to play wow and cod and high settings with solid fps

If you can get graphics card for good price, self build of course saves some money/allows upgrade in part or two.
(or get some mouse/keyboard)

Just didn't know if it would work out that much cheaper with gpu issues etc atm. What sort of gpu / CPU would I be looking at for this kind of budget. I haven't gamed in best part of a year and even then I didn't know my gpus

You could do a solid build for £1500 but would need to try and pick up a founders card 3080FE for example, if your stuck with AIB then the best you will get is a 3070 which is 30% slower.

Half of that went straight over my head tbh. I did a build before but basically based it off one I seen here then posted the part list to make sure they were all compatible. Have pretty limited knowledge otherwise lol

Strange, I looked at this earlier today for a relative. If you can get an MSRP GPU such as 3060 Ti, I work out around £1080 for building a PC from components that would be better than what I have seen available for £1500

Is the 3070 build listed above decent enough for solid gaming at high spec cod and wow
I'd be tempted to drop a couple of hundred more and get this as those games will benefit from a stronger CPU, this one also comes with the 3070ti which is a bit faster also.

Saved £109 by leaving Windows off so you would have to install it yourself and source a cheap key but worthwhile for the saving.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
  • 1 x OcUK Gaming Rapier - AMD Ryzen 5600X, GeForce RTX 3070Ti Gaming PC = £1,569.06
    • Security Software:Unwanted
    • Operating System:Unwanted
    • Case:*Build Stock* Phanteks Eclipse P400 Air Midi Tower DRGB Case - Black
    • Processor:AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Six Core 4.6GHz (Socket AM4) Processor - MPK
    • 2.5" SATA Solid State Drive 1:Unwanted
    • Storage Drive:Unwanted
    • Memory:Kingston HyperX Fury 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-28800C17 3600MHz Dual Channel Kit
    • 2.5" SATA Solid State Drive 2:Unwanted
    • M.2 Solid State Drive 1 (Primary Drive if Selected):WD Blue SN550 1TB SSD NVME M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3 Solid State Drive (WDS100T2B0C)
Total: £1,583.16 (includes shipping: £14.10)
