    Hi there,

My housemate has just replaced his HDD on his laptop and is attempting to install windows. The computer goes past the bios and then attempts to boot from the cd-rom and then we get the following screen.

BOOT CD-ROM TYPE:- NO EMMULATION BOOTING
    INITIALIIZING BOOT CD-ROM - UJDA340
    CD-BOOT: CANNOT BOOT FROM CD-CODE:1

Used the same copy of windows to install my operating system over the weekend and his laptop can still play audio cd's. we have tried other copies of windows and the same thing happens.
Any help would be much appreciated

    Sunny
