This comes up when i turn my computer on, what does it mean and how do i get rid of it??
What are the specs of your computer? and when does the error message come up??
and I think that this should be in the software section
It comes up every time i turn on *** computer specs are:
2.17 Ghz AMD
2 harddrives 1x 80 gb 1x 160
512 mb Kingston Ram
This happends because your computer, or a specific program, thinks that AUTOEXEC.NT is a virus and has killed it.
Right click and "save as" here to get a replacement, and insert it into C:\WINDOWS\system32. Reboot and it should be OK.
Have a read of this...
(I think that this link is ok for posting if not please delete)
this may sound really weird but i cant seem to find the system 32 folder??
Open up your C:\ , go to tools, folder options, click the view tab, and change the option to show hidden files and folders.
EDIT: Actually, just copy "C:\WINDOWS\system32" and paste it into your address bar.
EDIT 2: Of My Computer, not your web browser...
thanks peopel the problem seems to be gone now!!!!!!!!
