Wondering what PSU to get for my new PC. This is my first build:

    ABIT AN8 SLI motherboard
    opty 165 CCBBE CPU
    2x Geforce 7800 GTX KO
    2Gb crap ram
    150Gb Raptor X 10,000RPM SATA HD

Don't know what DVD/RW yet; probably plextor sata. Recommendation for RAM would be appreciated also :)

Anything 500w+ from Seasonic, Tagan, Enermax, Fsp or Antec.
The advantage of the seasonic is its almost silent.

I'm never too sure how much power these dual graphics card configs require, without then it would only need about 300w.

Edit: According to this A 7800gtx sli system draws about 350w at the wall. Having said that, people have had problems with sli and lower power psu's, but i think its more due to lack of power in the right places than not being powerful enough overall, which is why you need a more powerfull psu.

If i were you i would go for the 500w seasonic, you can always send it back under distance selling act and get a 600w if need be.
