A friend of mine is installing a server using a Tyan Tempest board with Quad E5310 CPU. He is using a Thermaltake W0117 PSU (see link below for pics).
Basically the 8 pin and 4 pin daisychain off the same cable. but the 4 pin is on the opposite side of the CPU to the 8 pin, and the cable doesnt reach.
Ive not had chance to go and look at it. But ive only ever seen boards with either a 4 pin or 8 pin. Should he be connecting both the 4 and 8 pin, and can you get an extension lead of any kind for the 4-pin.
