I've been to the Thirsty Bear. The self service tap thing is a nice enough gimmick but they hammer you when your bill arrives as the beer is a little pricey.

The pub does have a free pool table upstairs though and you can simply buy at the bar downstairs. Friends ordered burgers there and the food did look good.

I went to both yesterday. Thirsty bear is a good sports bar feel with ipads for ordering food and drink. I didn't feel it was overpriced as most places in london are £4 a pint now. the advantage is that we can pour as much as you like a pay as little as you want.

The lazy fox is much better with a wider beer choice. It feels more like a pub as well ... top marks actually.
