I'm looking for a card/software solution to allow me to turn my 'lounge machine' into a 'sky +' box. I've got NTL so it needs to be able to access online programme information, control the NTL box and auto-record.

    I'm using win 64bit.

    What hardware/software is best?

i read somewhere not long ago (was asked the same question by my brother) that ntl are launching there own version of the sky+ box soon, it supposedly has 3 tuners so u can record 3 different programs at the same time, would probably be a better idea to wait for that.

    EDIT: found the link http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/10/24/ntl_unveils_pvr/

Thanks for that - yeah would do the trick as long as they don't rip the 'wee-wee' like sky did charging outrageous subscription charges.

Having said that - I've got IR onboard my mobo, a large Hdd, and an internet connection to the pc - all I need is a basic TV card and the right software - shame to waste the kit I've already got :p
