Question around Refresh rates vs Colour Accuracy

Hi All,

We are having a discussion in the office around screen technology and the important features that gamers want or need. What better place to ask than the OcUK Community

So if you had to pick one point only what would be appealing to you Higher Colour Accuracy or the fastest refresh rates?

As for tech there isn't LCD which I would consider approaching actually good.
They're all compromised crap with each type having its own problems in one or more area.
So true goal should be scrapping that whole Liquid Crap Display tech.
Hopefully actual electroluminescent quantum dot displays start coming in few years to replace OLEDs, whose organic part's weakness has made it dud in monitors.
But Samsung's "QLEDs" are just another marketing scam with tweaking backlight without solving any of LCD's problems.
Even that wider gamut is BS: AdobeRGB LCDs have existed like decade.

That should also take care of problems with pixel response times and make refresh rate question of panel's control electronics.

Until that I'll certainly take IPS over TNs.
It also has more consistent response times than VA, whose strength is contrast/black value... at the expense of horizontal gamma shift known as "black crush".
Wish someone had punched those patent trolls who sabotaged development of SED to nose.
