question regarding nb_fan and H50

Basically, is it OK to connect the H-50 to the north bridge fan header on my ga-x58a-ud3r?

I'm assuming it is but I'm not sure I see it in speedfan and wanted some opinion am pretty new to this shizzle

Cant give you a definate yes or not but why not test it with a normal fan first of you dont wanna try the h50?

I wouldnt see an issue providing the nb fan is set to full speed in the bios.

Preferable cpu fan header though

I have turned off the option for the MB to control the fans in the BIOS like suggested by cosair so they are on full pelt all the time.

It's just that the NB fan header is in a much better place for me to attach the H-50 to it.

Is there any way I can see the speed of NB fan in windows?

I assume its working fine becuase my temps are 36-41c on an i7@4Ghz.
