Cheers guys im really pleased with the results, i just thought id give it a try as i once replaced a led in my tv that died and it was so easy to do i knew it wouldnt be hard to change an led in a dvd drive.

Hey dont knock my choice of tool

, they work great acctually, there mole grips, you adjust the jaw to thing you want to clamp it to then close the handle together and its not going anywhere.
