Beautiful name. AMD's official preview figures suggest it should match an nVidia RTX 2080 in DX11 and DX12 and handily beats it in Vulkan. Hopefully it'll come in well under the £700-800 its competitor sells for...

And I was saying? LOL VEGA 7nm for gaming this year! People on here saying no VEGA 7nm and Navi was all that AMD had to offer! Navi. Navi is only for replacing RX 590 series

All depends on the price, with the 16gb hbm2 I cant see it being cheap. If its £700+ people will just buy the 2080.

The trick will be if that move to 7nm allows them to bring it at a better price, OR if it just enables the additional speed.

Wonder if they'll release an 8GB HBM version. That could reduce the cost substantially, and potentially not impact performance much.
That performance at $499/599 could be more interesting.

Indeed, same price as a 2080 but with more memory.
Personally, a little higher than I think it should be, and I suspect HBM is the cause (or 16GB of it!)

Doubtful, but that would be a VERY shrewd move on their part.

Problem is now you have a choice at a price point. Radeon 7 or 2080 with RTX features.

As much as RTX is being slated I would still choose that as it has the future potential...

There are at least two 2080's going for (a smidge less than) £650 at the moment.

Yep, the 16 GiB of VRAM will surely be pushing the price way up. A $599 8 GiB version would surely be a preferable choice for most right now.
