I have an ATI Radeon X300/X550/X1050 half-height graphics card in my PC which should apparently support the following resolutions:
Monitor Resolution Hz
640x480 200
800x600 200
1024x768 200
1152x864 200
1280x1024 160
1600x1200 120
1920x1080* 16:9 120
1920x1200 100
1920x1440 90
2048x1536 85

However in my display properties mine only goes up to 1280x1024.
I currently have a 17” and 15” monitor using a DVI splitter cable which works well, but I wanted to upgrade these to two 19” monitors but worry that the card wont support the higher resolution of the 19” monitors, especially not two of them.

Is there a reason why the display properties slider doesn’t show the full range of resolutions as per the table above? Is it because the card cannot support two at higher resolutions?

Hey Spider,

Normally gpu's are smart enough to know the screen they're plugged into and match the native resolution. They will go to higher res' like you've shown from the ATi specs.

I'd just get the 19" monitors and it should jump to whatever res you need. :)
