Having read this on the register, was wondering if Oc will be getting the E6300 tommorow like they say? Its says in the register that this chip wont be released until next year!

6300 OEMs coming in tommorow

EDIT: It says in that article that they will be releasing the E4300 next year.

I think, glancing at the article, that the reference is to the 4300 not the 6300

Further out, Intel is expected to ship the Core 2 Duo E4300 early next year. This version drops the FSB to 800MHz and contains 2MB of L2. It's clocked at 1.8GHz.

It says the 6300 will debut with the others.

I think the OP is confusing the E6300 with the E4300.

I was going to settle on an AMD X2 4200+, because I didnt want to wait until next year...

Now then.. Just what motherboard to get...
