I seem to always have problems here. The ethernet drivers from Gigabyte for my GA-EX58-UD3R haven't allowed me to access the net. Anyone know what I can do? Using these LAN drivers: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/Driver_Model.aspx?ProductID=3103&ost=xp#anchor_os
LAN(s) enabled in BIOS? not an OS problem (firewall etc.)? tried another set of drivers from Realtek's site?
Yep all enabled and tried drivers from: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/Driver_Model.aspx?ProductID=3103&ost=xp#anchor_os and: http://www.realtek.com.tw/DOWNLOADS...d=5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false My OS is freshly installed, win xp sp1 with sp2 slipstreamed on it so I could install it on an ssd
My laptops LAN port refused to work when I first got it this is how I fixed it. If the LAN port is working try going into control panel / network connections right click on your Local area connection click on configure then on the advanced tab and select speed /duplex settings, it is probably set to Full auto negotiation, try setting it to Force full duplex or one of the many others. Hope this helps
Same happened to me on win7 after a windows update, I just went to device manager and done a rollback then it worked fine for me!
