Receiver estimate repair worth it?

I had a thread earlier stating that my Sony STR-DG820 receiver will buzz after 40 minutes use and have a really loud buzz after 2 hours. It's coming from the receiver only, I sent it to a company to get a quote on how much it will cost to repair. They charged £40 to pick it up and inspect it and if I go through with the repair they'll deduct the £40 from the total cost.

The total cost is:
£167.97

(Transformer - £97.54
Labour - £70.43)

Is it worthwhile to get the receiver fixed and keep it considering it's age?

If I were to replace it I wouldn't want to spend more than £200 on a new receiver.

No. I'd go out & buy a new one. I had a Sony Receiver many moons ago & I had to get it repaired twice before I sold it. The bloke who bought it off me said it went wrong on him too.
