    Hello all,

I would like to know if i can remove the 'dell solutions centre' link from the menu after clicking on the start button in xp?
It's placed under the 'run' command and above the 'turn off' / 'log off' buttons, can this be done?

    Thanks in advance

Regedit - Hkey Local Machine - Software, deleted 'dell' from there in. Further to that, i clicked on the properties in the start menu and chose advanced then removed from there too. :)

Deleting entire sub keys from the registry probably isn't one of the best ideas as it ties in with lots of other items as well. All you needed to do was the second thing you highlighted :)

    Oh, for reference,

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\oeminfo.ini
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\oemlogo.bmp

control the information and logo respectivley in the system properties window :)
