So my recent build in a Lian Li O11D case has shown up the stock cables for my psu are terrible

A few reasons for this
The stupid lenght of some of the cables
The fact my GPU takes an 8pin and 6pin connector but there doesnt appear to be a single 8pin and single 6 pin but several 6+2pin with an additional 6+2 on the lead which looks stupid
The cables are flat ribbon and in black
the 24pin cable has the bulky resistors on the end
Now I could obviously go buy a white cable set of extensions but the fact the current cables are so long is horrible and trying to fit even more in just seems pointless
I believe they take the same cables as the RMx series (Corsair Type4?) but the replacement kits are around or more in cost than the PSU itself
What other options do I have? can I shorten / remove those silly 6+2 extra cable on the GPU cables or?
Sleeve them myself?
