Can anyone recommend any? I'll be going out with several friends, so nothing too romantic! I would prefer an Indian but am not too fussy.
Not an Indian, but ASK is there (Angel) its Italian - my fave restaurant! Otherwise www.toptable.co.uk and www.squaremeal.co.uk are your friends enjoy! BB x
Not Indian, but I can recommend Cuba Cuba. To be honest, Angel is all about looking good and not necessarily about substance.
'The Finca' just round the corner from Angel tube station used to be really good if you like Spanish tapas. I haven't been there for quite a while though. http://www.london-eating.co.uk/maps/3195.asp
There is a really nice Indian on Theberton Street which is opposite the Sainsury Local on upper street. Best Indian food I have tasted but it is rather pricey.
If you want vegetarian there are a few good ones including some "as much as you can eat" ones; Ravi Shankars is supposed to be very good though I haven't been for quite some time. Plenty of choice; just ask around when you get there.
Only Indian place I know of in the Angel area which is semi-decent would be Spices at Chapel Market. Address is 10 Chapel Market (should be located closer to Penton Street and not Liverpool Road). If you are on Upper Street and near Angel Station, head towards Liverpool Road (pretty much opposite Angel station, you'll see a Carphone Warehouse shop there). Take the first left (you've missed it if you have passed Woolworths or Sainsbury) and you are on Chapel Market. Map of Chapel Market
