I’m going mad and round in circles on this one.

So I’m going to be powering the following :

Athlon X2 64 6000+ (may later upgrade to a 6400+)
SLI 8800 GTS 640MB (single 6 pin PCIE cable required for each) but may later upgrade to dual GTX which would mean 4x 6 pin required.
8GB DDR2 / various hard drives, DVD, 5x internal fans

Combines it’s quite a power hungry setup, so I’m thinking it needs to be circa 600w. With the rest of the build I’ve obviously managed to pick some of it up cheap, but I’m struggling with the power supply. I don’t really want to run a 15 year old PSU, nor do I want to run a cheap non brand, but at the same time I don’t want to blow the budget on a new high end PSU.

Any thoughts? I’m drawn to the Coolermaster MWE Bronze 650 v2 but going very much round in circles. It has 4x 6 pcie cables, though I’m uncertain if they are daisy chained off one another (it’s not modular).

If it's the same cables as the first version it will be daisy changed.

The 8800 gtx needs 155w each, the pcie slot provides 75w each and so does the pcie 6 pin cables.

150w total for each card.
