You have much longer than that anyway, warranty is a bit of a red herring.

The law says ... For up to six years after purchase (five years from discovery in Scotland) purchasers can demand damages (which a court would equate to the cost of a repair or replacement).

Hope I dont sound like an idiot, but i knew that however its easier getting another replacement under their 12 month warranty than having to go through CCourt which i did have to do once..

Very true. However the 12 month is afaik from date of purchase and is not "extended" by exchanging the product for a new one.

It should be because you could just demand a refund and then buy a new one instead.
