He always seemed such a smart, friendly and funny guy in Mythbusters etc, and not the way I expected him to go (I always thought he'd be killed by one of his robots).

    RIP.

    R.I.P. Grant. :(

Not only a Mythbuster, BattleBot competitor, ILM model maker and Star Wars Droid wrangler, but also was one of the official C3PO's for something like 10 years.

He always seemed like a really nice chap as well

I'd forgotten about him being a C3PO, IIRC that was because he was the right build/size for the suit or something, so handy when they needed someone.

Yup. Had a custom made C3PO costume, had to maintain a certain size while working at ILM. Was in his contract apparently.

Just watched the latest Still Untitled from Tested, it's all about Grant and working with him.

This is the Baby Yoda that is mentioned that he was working on.

And this is what he's been working on recently. Disney Stuntronics. You can actually spot him in one of the clips, briefly.

Rest in peace Grant, he was fantastic on Mythbusters.

    Very sad.

Passionate about the engineering, rather than goofing around or wanting to hog the limelight.

he did a lot of work (energiser bunny too iirc) for outside of myth busters that was still as entertaining when he presented it!
