Hi all,

Wanted some quick advice about combined router/ADSL modems that might be a good upgrade. I am currently using an old g router and the signal strength is pretty poor across the house, the router is in my study in one corner and signal strength falls off quickly as you move away from it. I would like to get a new model that supports 'n' wireless, still has a combined modem and hopefully can improve signal strength. Is this too much of an ask for sub £50?

I have found a TP-LINK TD-W8951ND on sale for £26 which seems to be capable in the areas I need but I am concerned that it might be poor in terms of quality or reliability of signal - is this an area of false economy where it is worth spending more money for a better quality of product?

Would a model made by a more reputable company be a better investment?
