rt-n56u using Tablet

I posted this in another forum but thought it might be better here.
I have the Asus rt-n56u router with USB hard drive attached with a few movies on it. I would like to use my Lenovo Tab 2 tablet to view these movies through WiFi if possible. I know this can be done using a PC as I have done it, just can't find out how to do it using a tablet.
Can anyone help me do this as I don't know where to start?

So I guess you have the drive mounted in Windows?

On your tablet you can get an app called ES Explorer, using this you can navigate to network drives.

No I don't have it mounted in windows, it's connected to my WiFi Router. I have got Es explorer but it can't see the files, just the folders
