Ryzen 1700 + 8 Pack 3200 ram = unstable

Right with my CPU at stock and the DOCP profile enabled BF1 is freezing after about 20 mins.

I'm now going to run it at 2933MHz as a test.

I don't know if the ram is faulty or not. I guess it comes with a lifetime warranty so if it is I can send it back.

I've only had it one week.

Reset everything, this is very important! Make sure you have properly reset your BIOS back to defaults, saved & exited. Then set memory to 3200 and stock settings via DOCP, then run tests to confirm stability. If it's stable you know the memory is fine, and you know your IMC is fine while the CPU is at stock.

This isn't the case any more. I did the above and it froze on me after 20 mins in BF1. It's just odd as over the weekend I managed 4hrs in Origins with no issues.

Certainly sounding like you have a faulty component somewhere. Remove a stick of memory and run stability tests, if it passes, swap in the other stick and test that. See if you can identify if you have a dodgy stick.
