I was wondering what the 2700x could drop to once Zen 2 releases? Although not apples to apples the 1700 was £329 when it released and the price history indicates it dropped to around £200 when Ryzen 2000 released. Does anyone think that would be realistic for the 2700x? I guess it depends on how they price Zen 2..

Why bother? The new Ryzen 5 will probably be around £200 and will have the same number of cores as the current Ryzen 7 with the benefit of a higher IPC and a higher clock speed.

Yeah i was just reminded in the other thread the ES that beat the i9 9900k was rumoured to be an r5 3600. At that price it is going to be interesting to see what AMD do with the ryzen 2000 series pricing.. The 2700x would have to be cut to where the 1700 is now circa £150
