Ryzen 9 3900X or 3950X

I have everything for a new AMD 3rd gen build. Want something that is going to last a good few years!

Just needing a CPU.

I have been waiting for the 3950X I now its supposed to be September, but nothing is out there regarding even a rumour of a release date.

So do I just get the 3900X or am I going to regret not waiting.

Depends on your use case to an extent. I'm very happy with the 3900x, it performs very well in gaming and munches through anything you throw at it. I'm pretty sure it'll last a very long time.
