Lets just hope the miners don't buy them all! ;)

By the end of this month fingers crossed.

I was really hoping for 120Hz screens, but have requested 120Hz and 8G RX 580's on future models, I know 8G is not really required for 1080P gaming but its still nice to have and it probably only adds around £50 which when spending £1500 is a small amount in the grand scheme of things.

Awesome thanks, I'll hang on for the 8gb video ram.

Any ideas on the colour accuracy on the monitors? Or 4k versions? Or even ones designed for video/photo editing? (same or better spec with 100% argb panels?)

Probably won't do 4k panel, not many people go for them, too small to see anything when at 100% scaling 4k. Most people buy a 4k monitor and power it with the laptop as to see 4k you ideally need at least a 32" screen, unless of course your literally just talking photo editing.

8G version is still an uknown, it may not happen, so you could be waiting a very long time. It's being requested but I know there is no RX 580 GPU anyway, we only got these as Asus ordered the parts months ago.

Yo! The GL702ZC will have a 72% NTSC display which is roughly equivalent to 100% sRGB. It will be perfect for content creators on the move! :)

Cool thanks!!

Can it support 2 external 4k monitors? (one USB C to display port adaptor) one on the display port built in ?

I'll still wait :) on the website it lists 8gb 580's so must be following suite - Although I appreciate your trying to sell the 4gb models ;)

EDIT: OHHHHHHH the website changed over at Asus :O :p only 4gb now

Hmmmmmmmmmm haha

Not a sales ploy at all, if we could get 8G they'd be online too and I've just put these request with Asus and the feedback is as follows:

- 120Hz, not working correctly so won't be happening for some time.
- 8G 580 is no longer an option at the moment, if it comes they don't think it will be until after Christmas unfortunately and is still unconfirmed. :(

Fair enough!

I guess 4gb would be enough for 1080p..........would it be enough for 2560x1600 - i know its not for 4k :(

I'll only ever play Xcom 2 though and the new update for that.

All I need to know now (and to be honest i will pull the trigger if it works, iv waited since 2016!):

(1) Can it support 2 external 4k monitors? (one USB C to display port adaptor) one on the display port built in ? - I currently have a 2.5k and 4k monitor - but in future id go 2x 4k. What does the HDMI port on this support as well ? Could it even go 3 4k monitors?

(2) How many NVME/internal 2.5" hard drive bays does it have or can it support ? - Im currently on an Asus Rog G751JY - it has the option of 2 2.5" bays (or officially 1 nvme, 1 ssd) but with tweaking iv managed 1xnvme and 2 x 2.5" SSD's in it :D haha (any pics of the internals yet ?)

(3) Can it support 3200mhz memory ? 2666mhz ? as faster ram makes a massive difference on ryzen.

I'll need to get back to you about this one...Ryzen/RX580 laptops are still a new thing for us so I don't have the necessary documents to 100% confirm 2x 4K display output.

Cool thanks! :) As above, what does the HDMI port support ? - could it go 3 external monitors?

Just for future - I dont have any hdmi 2.0 monitors, all display ports, but 2x 4k DP is good with me

Crossfire is a no. It is RX 580 4G single, no plans for other options. Maybe an 8G in 2018, but only maybe.
120Hz screen is buggy, so not happening until a few months or never.

The VGA outputs, Tom from Asus shall answer once he has proper technical documents to hand to be 100% certain.

3. It is B350 chipset, so I suspect maximum RAM speed is 2666MHz and remember SODIMM is not like regular DIMM, so frequency ability is always far less as is BIOS ability.
