ok, 2 days ago i turned my pcs on and one of them was fine, the other had no network activity, I couldn't access the internet nor the network, so I thought is it the cable, it wasn't. Ultimately after all the checks it came down to being a problem with the router, I reset the router and everything was ok again, then today the same thing happened again.
It keeps regetting its dhcp lease, now this hasnt happened in over 8months. So what have I changed recently?
Well, only thing I've changed is that now both of my pcs are using nvidia networking controllers, one is nforce2 the other is nforce4 so are slightly different, this is all i've changed so unless the router has been hacked (???) or it simply doesnt like both being on nvidia ethernets?? Or it's just dieing? I don't know, hence why I'm asking here, what do you think it is?
