    SB61G2 Shuttle.

Can you use SATA and IDE hard drives at the same time on this shuttle?

I don't plan to use SATA and IDE both at the same time for booting up purposes, but I am thinking of using the SATA ports for a possible external backup solution.

    Is this possible?

I have that specific model and although I haven't used IDE for a second hard drive, I believe there should be no problem supporting both a SATA and an IDE drive.

I am not aware of any limitations and on the BIOS there is a SATA option to enable both IDE and SATA in "combined" mode I believe.
