Recently my monitor has been doing this weird thing of flashing on/off randomly.
It just happened while I was playing CSS, after I quit it stopped.
It also did it the other day while on my desktop, as soon as I opened task manager it stopped, closed task manager and it started again so I was forced to reboot which fixed it.

    Any ideas?

have you tried un-installing and then reinstalling your graphics drivers?
Is anything getting hot in the pc?

Temps are fine, not tried reinstalling gfx drivers yet will try that next.

The only thing I have changed is installed a program called Launchy a few weeks ago, I've just closed/disabled that and will see if anything changes.

Just googled that, launches apps at the touch of a button interesting but could cause problems. Interesting to see if it is causing the problems

Updated my gfx drivers, still does it. Not sure if it's a hardware or software problem. I have a feeling it's this damn viewsonic monitor on it's last legs (again), NEVER buy viewsonic :(

VP2030b, I originally had a VP930 which they replaced after a week due to dead pixels and it lasted 2 years, then they sent me a VP2030b because it was all they had left, which was DoA, then replaced with this vp2030b which has lasted almost 2 years but is now out of warranty. :\
