My hardware: Intel Core I5-4690, GPU: Current GTX 1660 (replaced Geforce 970), 8GB RAM, 2TB HDD Secondary, 250GB SSD, 600W Cooler Master PSU. Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97P-D3, OS, Wind 8.1 Pro
My problem:
Whenever I load up a game the screen goes blank and, and at the same time the GPU fans spin really loudly like at full pelt.
I only just bought a 1660 thinking it'd solve it but it hasn't, I really don't know what to do short of buying a new PC as I feel i'm just going to chip away at my money buying bits on this now.
Do you think its the PSU?
Could this be the motherboard and a dodgy connection somewhere on it? - Im thinking this may be the likely culprit.
Its driving me crazy not knowing what to do or how too solve this, if I can pinpoint it down id be so happy atleast then id know. When I first bought the pc four years ago it needed the psu replacing so not sure if it's that or the mobo.
