I empty all coins into a bucket, and rattle around for £1 and £2 when I need change, the rest I just wait until I have enough and put them in the new machine at my bank. No commission.

I have a mug on the side full with anything up to 20p's, useful if you are using a toll bridge.......

This is what I do & it works well as it seems my dinners cost me nowt & I am saving. Last time I bagged it & took it to the Supermarket for me cash I had over a hundred quid. :cool:

I have a few of those large 'Cadbury's Heroes' tins full of shrapnel. There must be at least £100 in there, yet I never do anything but drop even more in.

I put mine (anything less than 50p) in a dvd cakebox which i cut a slot in

They will go in my scrumpy bottle.... when I get around to drinking it!

It makes the cashier run it through the till because they need to give you change. It would be much easier to pocket the cash if you know the price of items and dont need to give change.

It can also be used as a quick reference for stock levels.
x.99 = normal stock item
anything else (usually x.98 or x.95) = discontinued stock.

I hate carting change about, so I've two big coffee jars - one for £1s and £2s, another for everything else. I just bag it up and take it to the bank when full

Ive been saving shrapnel since the beginning of the year, i've nearly saved enough to pay off my season ticket, which is currently on a 0% deal with my credit card.
