They need to fix the global market system to stop electronics being so endlessly profitable.

A lot of people are saying 'what's the point of industrial zones?', yet from what I can see they generate a lot in taxes. The fact this is going almost completely unnoticed tells you something is wrong with electronics.

Ive done 50+ and apart from the 1st day and once having to wait 20 minutes to join a server its been great.

Maybe its just the MP thats bugged, i just created my own region and kept it private and havent see any issues.

All this chat about Rollbacks etc makes me think im missing something as i havent seen any of the stuff is it a mp server thing? What are you all doing in these regions?

its been a while since a played a PC game and was wondering if you guys could advice me on whether my current PC I use for work at home would support SimCity.

    AMD Athlon II X2 250 3ghz
    4GB ram
    ATI radeon HD5570

also, could I install this on my PC and laptop, how does the DRM feature work? I am only allowed to install on one device? Sorry for the noob nature of my questions guys

The DRM has an advanced "Don't waste your money" feature which ruins the game. Don't worry about missing out - the game itself is bad too!

After registering with Origin, EA will send around a qualified EA Satisfaction Technician™ with a chainsaw. First the technician will carry out a full frontal lobotomy in the hope that you don't notice how badly broken the game is, and then complete a full wallet biopsy by charging you for DLC. Optional extra, chainsaw up the bum for only £9.99!

Traffic is a real sod in this game. One vehicle gets 'stuck' and that is it.

Also, having expensive buildings tied to roads can be immensely frustrating.

Well if it doesn't run on that system, then the whole "It needs to run on your dad's PC" line from EA is even more laughable than it currently is. As for the second part... Well, as everything is saved server side you should be able to have it on several computers, but that copy has to be linked to your online origin account. So if you fire up a two PC's with that copy of Sim City on it, the first will go offline.

I have it installed on 3 machines so yeah you can. Think you can have it on 5 machines, then you need to start de-activating systems on your origin account.

Anyone know the best/fastest way to make money when you're first starting a city? Without just ramming loads houses in.
I'm trying to make a casino city but need to have about +2500 per month to make it work and without using nearly all space for houses it's not working for me. Ideally i just want commercial and casino/tourism.

Also, tried to just have a bus depot and commercial/industrial? would it bring workers in and make you money without wasting space on housing.

Ore, Coal and Alloy are all good easy money spinners at the start.

It's part of EA's vision. For an additional £9.99 you can get the Account Restoration Kit™.

I managed to get my account back after 35 minutes a hold queue, the person hadn't managed to change my email address yet as they had referred them to the phone support due an issue with the process as they had tried to use the live online support to change it.

Anyway I have it back now as Mike at their support desk was pretty decent responding to my request. At least there staff seem to be good, pity about the wait time though lol

From what I remember, Go into the city where you have the money, go into region view, click your town/city you want the money to go to, locate to the similion icon and select how much you wan't to send and press enter. You have to wait a day or so, I had to.

I don't think i'm using regions to their full potential, i just keep trying to play in the one section i pick and cram everything in.
Anyone know if i can have a mining/drilling city which can just be left making money while i'm building the actual city that i want??? then abandon it once i'm built up/

Money I've sent between cities has disappeared every time, stopped doing it.

Was only testing with 10k each time but still, annoying.
