I have written a web application at work and the idea is to make an icon which people can have on their desktops, so when they double click it opens up the web app in IE. The trouble is that the staff use another web app in IE pretty much all day and when they click on mine it uses the same window, i know its HTML equivalent is _Blank but is there a setting I can put in the shortcut string to do this? Any help appreciated.

as far as i remember, any shortcut from your desktop, or anywhere outside internet explorer, will open in precisely the browser you don't want it to - the only way to do it is for them to drag and drop the shortcut into an open blank window.
