I have finally bitten the bullet and bought skis. I figured second hand skis and poles for €220 delivered was worth it over renting the same ones for 6 days at a cost of €195!

Has anyone ever posted skis / snowboard to their destination and collected from the post office / chalet / collection somewhere? It's costing €20 to deliver mine from France, so why bother using a passenger plane to take them on holiday?
