SLi card compatibility

    Hope this is a simple question - will a SLi PCi express card work OK on a non SLi board? You just can't double them up?
    Is that right - I hope so!

    that is right... but every motherboard has issues with certain cards, But yes you can use a Sli capable card on a PCI-Express x16 capable motherboard...

    p.s nearly all nvidia cards are SLi capable:D

    hang on! do you mean an sli capable card or an already sli'ed card? iirc asus and a couple of other companies made some cards that had 2 gpus on 1 card well before the 7950gx2 and they DID need an sli board..

    Correct me if I'm wrong of course but I'm sure a few 6600GT dual cards were knocking about.
